What is wetcleaning?

Wetcleaning is the process of using water to "dryclean only" garments. The process uses special computer controlled washers and dryers specifically designed soaps, detergents and conditioners.

Is wetcleaning safe for the environment?

Yes, it is very safe. All the soaps, detergents and conditioners have been approved by the EPA to be safely flushed down the drain. It is as safe as the detergent you use at home.

What about the spotting chemicals used in wetcleaning?

We only use spotting chemicals approved by the EPA to be safely flushed down the drain.

How effective is wetcleaning ?

It is very effective. It removes all the water soluble stains and we use a degreaser to help with any oil based stains. Wetcleaning produces a superior products and with any chemical smell, so the clothes come out smelling fresh and clean.

How long has wetcleaning been used?

Wetcleaning was introduced in 1992 and mush wasn't known about it. But in the past 15 years, it has started to prove itself primarily because of the advancements in technology with the washers, dryers and detergents used in the process.

Why did Spot Cleaners transition to wetcleaning?

We made the conversion because we knew the dangers of perc ( the solvent 85% of the drycleaners use ) such as in the health of our employees and customers and the detrimental effects it has on the environment. We knew it would be a viable alternative to perc because of the stringent testing it has endured.
